Gop Tun is the coalition of four friends with a common mission. Whether producing or playing at notorious parties and festivals or releasing music, Bruno Protti (Tyv), Caio Taborda (Caio T), Fernando Nascii (Nascii) and Gui Scott are always in pursuit of the perfect dancefloor.
The dance floor itself is what guides all the activities of the collective. Gop Tun is a party, a label and a team of DJs. But it is also, after more than 10 years of history, a movement in São Paulo’s nightlife.
As DJs, whether performing together or separately, the Gop Tun DJs has had its name taped on the line-up of notorious parties of the scene, clubs and festivals in the country and abroad: Rock In Rio, Primavera Sound, Dekmantel and Time Warp are some of them. As producers, they made history with hundreds of their own parties. Two editions of the “Não Existe” Festival and one of the Gop Tun Festival, besides two national editions of the Dutch festival Dekmantel.
Musically, it is difficult to put each of the four boys into any boxes. They are always up to date with the vanguard of national and international electronic music at the same time that they enjoy revisiting the past in search of lost gems and improbable classics. This free spirit and refined research percolates their DJ sets, their work as curators and the musical releases on the Gop Tun label.
The perfect dance floor may never materialize, but it has never been so real.
