DJ SET
Gop Tun DJs have a way of making a packed dancefloor feel like a party with friends. Behind the decks, Caio T, Gui Scott, Nascii and TYV share discoveries with an easy familiarity built overmany nights together. Step onto the floor and you become part of that exchange: there’s always something familiar, and something you want to get to know a little better. House and disco are old friends, from their loosest grooves to their heavier, more intensecorners. Alongside them are fresh finds, old obsessions and unexpected combinations drawn from all four record collections. Their sound is warm, with a taste for psychedelia and a knack for springing a surprise at just the right moment. Years of digging help. So does having three friends who keep feeding the habit.
That chemistry comes through in the fluidity of their mixing and the freedom to change direction as the crowd responds. They know how to let a groove take hold and give a track room to grow. At peak time, they’re right at home: bringing weight to the sound, working the tension and keeping the floor riding high. Whether playing in the sunshine, in a club or to a festival crowd, they take pleasure in making people feel welcome and discovering where the night might lead. Their all-night-long sets are a chance to get to know all four a little better.
Their way of throwing a party started in São Paulo and has since travelled across South America and Europe, with appearances at Dekmantel, Estéreo Picnic, Primavera Sound, Rock in Rio and Time Warp, alongside recordings for Boiler Room and Rinse FM. That desire to share music grew into parties of their own, the Gop Tun Records label and Gop Tun Festival, now a key fixture in Latin America’s independent electronic music scene. Behind the decks, the story keeps unfolding in the hands of four friends who keep finding good reasons to bring people together.
