Kontronatura

DJ SET

BOOK ARTIST

Kontronatura’s sound is focused on percussive, hypnotic, and fast-paced beats such as Baile Funk, Kuduro, Bubbling, Dembow, Tribal Bass, Techno and Trance. His sonic research connects past and future by blending afro-diasporic rhythms with disruptive sounds from Latin America. It is driven by a deep commitment to the liberation of bodies and desires on the dancefloor, challenging linear narratives and invoking trance states through rhythm.

As a resident of one of the biggest underground LGBTQ+ parties in Brazil (MAMBA NEGRA), Kontronatura has taken his sound across Brazil, Latin America, and Europe — performing at spaces like Goptun Festival, Novo Affair, Batekoo, ODD + Bassiani, Herrensauna, Tresor, RSO, Fusion Festival, Malajunta, International Chrome, Post Bar, Kosmos Festival, Universo Parallelo, Hiedrah, Desculonización, Metarave. In addition to that, his mixes aired on several notable platforms such as Boiler Room, Rinse France, NTS and others, being selected three times by Resident Advisor as mix of the day at 2021 , 2022 and 2025 he was selected again by Resident Advisor for a energetic B2B with Nick Léon at Carnaval Novo Affair in São Paulo, named “Best Music” of March.

In 2023, Kontronatura released his debut EP ORÍ via MAMBAREC — a sonic declaration of a personal quilombo. Across tracks like “IKU” and “BIYI,” he crafts an accelerated, jagged soundscape rooted in the pulse of the ghetto, conjuring future echoes, using sound as ritual, rupture, and refuge. ORÍ channels ancestry, exile, and rebirth through an uncompromising club lens. In 2025, he will release two more EPs in the second half of the year. In 2025, he began his residency at Oroko Radio in Accra, Ghana (quarterly) and Veneno Radio in São Paulo, Brazil (monthly).

As a transmasculine artist, Achille (Kontronatura) understands that his body has political action in response to the lack of
representation in the scene, in which trans bodies have little or no access. He takes back for himself the raw material of his
existence as the greatest tool to position himself as an artist, being one representative of the transmasculine community in
electronic music. Through his work, he is able to give back support to the trans community and open doors for it, actively
participating in the Transmasculine Pride March in São Paulo and working on a project that provides free DJ training for trans men, transmasculine, and non-binary individuals.
