OSGEMEOS

DJ SET

BOOK ARTIST

You’ve seen OSGEMEOS. But have you ever listened to OSGEMEOS? Yes, because, besides being one of the world’s most celebrated graffiti artists, Otávio and Gustavo Pandolfo are also super skilled DJs.
And we’re not talking about two artists that DJ every now and then just for fun. This is serious story. The two brothers from São Paulo know well how to handle a mixer and two turntables since the late 80s, when the hip-hop movement was booming in the city. It was a time when fellas would equally dedicate themselves to the whole trinity of the movement: break dancing, graffiti and music – whether as a MC or a DJ.
Back then, Otavio and Gustavo even recorded some raps, break danced on TV shows and trained heavily for the first DMC Worldchampionship in Brazil. But with time they ended focusing their energy on their art. Even so, music was always present in their lives. In their art studio, for example, there was always musical instruments, two Technics MK-II and thousands of records laying around, among piles of paints and canvas.
In the last decade or so, the twins became habitués of the parties and raves that broke through in Brazil. They noticed that much of what was coming off the speakers was exactly the same music they used to blast on their boombox in the 80’s. They both thought: well, why not take all those records we have to these new dancers and parties?
While they work on new musical productions between one exhibition and another, OSGEMEOS are more than ready to rock any dancefloor with their arsenal of electro-funk, indie-dance, boogie, house and techno, dug out for years throughout the globe.
